Safeguarding Policy and Procedure
As with all nurseries, Munchkins Nursery’s practitioners have a duty to ensure that all children are safe and appropriate actions are carried out if there is a concern for the safety of a child. Attached is our policy and procedure for you to read through. We understand that the safety of the children is paramount and all possible actions are taken to ensure that they remain safe whilst both in our care and outside of the setting.
All new practitioners are fully checked prior to starting within the setting to ensure that they are suitable and safe to work with the children. All practitioners also attend safeguarding training courses and risk assessments are carried out on all equipment and activities and outings that the children participate in before they are carried out and control measures are put into place if necessary to ensure that the children remain safe at all times. Daily checks are carried out on the environment and setting to ensure it is safe prior to the children arriving at the setting.
Please find attached a copy of the setting’s Safeguarding Policy and the setting’s Complaint Procedure for your information. If you have any questions about the nursery or anything that you have read, then please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.
